SEWAGE SLUDGE TREATMENT

We have been working in the treatment of municipal and industrial wastewater sludge since 1985. This procedure consists of several complex processes. We treat wastewater sludge in multiple steps so that it can be used at the end of the treatment process as a carbon-neutral substitute fuel or secondary fuel. The process makes use of our high-performance technology, which has been designed for both stationary and mobile use.

FOR MUNICIPALITIES AND INDUSTRY

The sludge to be treated is initially homogenized from sludge pile basins, digestion tanks, pond systems and maturation ponds. The material is then fed to our mobile sludge dewatering plants, where solid and liquid components are separated.

Maximum possible sludge dewatering is thus completed and the sludge is then dried using renewable energies.

DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING

After dewatering – our machines have a high cleaning capacity and therefore achieve clean centrate with the maximum possible dewatering capacity – the filtered material is fed to our SAWA sewage sludge drying plant.

The aim is to reduce the volume and mass even further with the use of solar energy and waste heat. The dry granulate thus becomes a carbon-neutral substitute fuel and is used as a secondary fuel. If you already operate your own dewatering plant, we will be happy to provide removal transport services and ensure proper disposal.

LOGISTICS AND TRANSPORT OF SEWAGE SLUDGE

After the sewage sludge has been professionally dewatered, it is then transported away and disposed of properly. We use special vehicles and state-of-the-art equipment, among other things, to handle the daily challenges.

Depending on the requirements, we deploy vacuum trucks that comply with German GGVS and ADR regulations, sewer flushing vehicles with water reclamation, rear dump trucks with high payloads, skip loaders with skips, maintenance vehicles, self-propelled work machines for mobile sludge dewatering, mobile aggregates for power supply, agitators and pumps, telescopic arm stackers, and various measuring devices.
